On April 15th, the 2026 China Coatings Conference was grandly opened at Mingguang Sports Center. The conference brought together more than 1,000 representatives from the upstream and downstream industrial chains of the coatings industry to explore new opportunities for the development of the industry and discuss new paths for transformation and upgrading. This is the first time that the China Coatings Conference has landed in a county-level city since it was held. As the annual event with the highest specifications, largest scale and strongest influence in China's coatings industry, it fully demonstrated Mingguang's strong strength and industry influence in the field of green coatings industry.
Han Enhou, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Qu Hui, director of the Industrial Development Department of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Liu Tonghao, deputy director of the Atmosphere Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Xiao Jinsong, director of the Institute of Raw Materials Industry of MIIT CCID Think Tank, Liu Jie, secretary general of the China Paint Industry Association, Sun Lianying, former president of the China Paint Industry Association, Wu Jin, secretary of the Chuzhou Municipal Party Committee, Hu Chunhua, deputy mayor of the Chuzhou Municipal Party Committee, Gong Zhiping, and leaders of the city, Tian Haisong, Cao Yingchun, and Ran Lei, attended the
Liu Jie, Secretary-General of China Coatings Industry Association, spoke highly of the development of the coatings industry in Mingguang City in his speech. At the same time, he pointed out that the current national coatings industry is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading, facing multiple challenges and opportunities such as increasing green and low-carbon requirements, increasing pressure on technological innovation, and increasingly fierce market competition. He hoped to use this conference as an important link to unite the strengths of all parties in the industry, focus on technological innovation and the core of green transformation, and fully rely on the foundation and resource advantages of the coatings industry to jointly build a solid foundation for the high-quality green development of the national coatings industry, and build a better future for the coatings industry.
Entrusted by Wu Jin, Secretary of the Chuzhou Municipal Party Committee, Hu Chunhua, Deputy Secretary of the Chuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, pointed out in his speech that in recent years, Chuzhou City has adhered to the transformation and upgrading of traditional chemical industry on the one hand, and the development and growth of fine chemical industry on the other hand, and has made every effort to promote the improvement of industrial quality and efficiency. A large number of industry leaders such as Three Trees, Carberry, and Baolijia have successively settled in Mingguang Green Paint Industrial Park, forming a complete industrial chain from resins and additives to finished coatings and coating services, and has become an influential green coating industry base in the country. He sincerely hopes that the participating leaders will continue to care about and pay attention to Chuzhou, and that Chuzhou City will serve as a good waiter with the greatest sincerity, the best policies, and the best service, so that every investment can bear fruitful results and every cooperation can achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
At the opening ceremony, Mingguang Municipal Committee Standing Committee, Vice Mayor Lu Haitao introduced the business environment of Mingguang City to the participants, and Vice Mayor Zhu Qihao presided over the opening ceremony. Qu Hui, Director of the Industrial Development Department of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and Fang Guoqin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Three Trees Paint joint stock company, also delivered speeches.
The theme of the conference is "Breaking the Bureau and Seeking Change, Intelligent Creation of the Future". As an industry blockbuster event in the opening year of the "Tenth Five-Year Plan", it shoulders the important mission of solving the industry's development problems and drawing a blueprint for the next five years. At the event site, experts, scholars and business representatives had in-depth exchanges on key topics such as industry policy orientation, technological innovation paths, and market layout optimization. It not only systematically summarized the fruitful achievements of the coating industry in the fields of standardization construction, green Product Research & Development, and intelligent manufacturing applications during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period, but also made forward-looking judgments on the industry development trend during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period.
The conference held a number of special activities such as theme forums, technical achievement exhibitions, and industrial chain matchmaking meetings, focusing on green and low-carbon, intelligent transformation, and functional new material research and development to carry out in-depth discussions. Representatives of well-known paint companies at home and abroad gathered to share innovative development practices, and held important ceremonies such as the release of the "100 Index" of China's paint industry, the release of the anti-involution declaration of the paint industry, and the launch of the "Coating Process" (Fifth Edition), injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.
As the only park in Anhui Province with a leading paint industry, Mingguang City has been deeply involved in the green paint industry for many years and has established a complete industrial chain development pattern. Relying on the unique advantages of attapulgite clay mineral resources, it has formed a complete supply system from raw material mining to high-end applications. It has been awarded the titles of the first batch of "green paint parks" and "China green paint base" in the country, and has become a benchmark area for the development of the domestic green paint industry.
