Recently, Qingdao has been gripped by persistent extreme heat. The consecutive high temperatures have posed severe challenges to frontline production and field construction employees. To protect all staff’s physical health, guarantee safe production and construction, and implement heatstroke prevention and cooling safety protocols, Qingdao Ruida Zhitu has fully launched a comprehensive heat protection initiative to take good care of every frontline worker.
The company’s management held a special meeting on high-temperature safety production without delay. Taking different work scenarios including factory workshops and outdoor construction projects into consideration, a variety of heat protection measures were introduced. For teams conducting outdoor coating spraying and on-site construction, working hours have been reasonably adjusted to avoid the hottest midday hours, and a rotating rest system is adopted to cut down prolonged outdoor work under high temperatures at the source. All ventilation and cooling equipment inside workshops are fully turned on and inspected regularly to maintain a ventilated and cool working environment.
Meanwhile, the administrative department has purchased cooling supplies in bulk, including mung bean soup, mineral water, heatstroke prevention medicines, cold drinks and towels. Safety officers deliver pre-shift briefings on heat safety every day, sharing knowledge of heatstroke emergency treatment and high-temperature operation protection. Construction workers are strictly required to wear standard sun-proof protective workwear and forbidden to engage in fatigued work. Special first-aid kits are placed on site, stocked with Huoxiang Zhengqi Oral Liquid, cooling balm, band-aids and other supplies for timely treatment once employees suffer dizziness, fatigue or other heat-related discomfort.
The person in charge of safety stated that the hot season is a critical period for safe production. Adhering to the management philosophy of "People-Oriented, Safety First", the company strikes a balance between production schedules and employees’ health and safety. Moving forward, Qingdao Ruida Zhitu will keep a close track of high-temperature weather changes, implement heatstroke prevention and cooling measures on a regular basis, and carry out routine safety inspections in workshops and construction sites. The company will consolidate the safety barrier for high-temperature operations, allowing all employees to work safely and comfortably through the summer.
